Paternity leave for soldiers

The military, being the last group after policemen, firefighters, security officers of BOR and ABW, who cannot take paternity leave, will now be able to stay with the child for two weeks before the child reaches the age of one. The Ministry of Defense is finishing work on an act that will allow all the rights that the provisions give to parents.

Today, professional soldiers only have the option of maternity and paternity leave. Currently, getting a free "for a child" depends on the consent of the supervisor. In practice, it looks like the needs of parents do not necessarily coincide with the activities and plans of the individual.

When will the act come into force? This is not yet known.
